Great spot to go camping in the summer - and it's free! Take highway 99 from Vancouver, turn up the Squamish Valley, turn onto Magee road. You can drive up on the sand beach to unload your gear, but rangers do come here regularly and you may get ticketed if you do not park your car overnight at the entrance. To drive onto the beach, just to lookers left of the sign is a trail behind the tree and onto the beach, 4x4 not needed but nice to have. Watch out, there is a mean metal thing that many people have clipped their car on (not me, but I've seen it). Otherwise, its a beautiful and free campground right on the river with lots of open space and firewood around. Usually other people around and a good party spot. The river is nice and slow moving and great for a boat float. Get some explorer 200's from wal-mart and enjoy a six pack floating downstream.
