I dunno, I've traveled to Europe already and have already seen the largest religious monuments in the world. So when I went to Besakih, the largest and holiest temple in all of Bali... maybe my expectations we raised a little high. It could have also been the weather that day too, I was grey and drizzling at times. Anyways, it was very nice to see this large edifice or cultural and religious importance, but from a purely touristic perspective of been wanting to be visually amazed... I was not. It is a huge complex that would take all day to explore and see. I stayed for maybe 90 minutes. In the first place, you're not allowed into many of the areas of the temple. Those are reserved exclusively for the religious locals. These also happen to be the places that look the most inviting and the coolest... from the outside atleast.
