Dreamlands is one of the best and most popular beaches in all of Bali. With incredible surfing and spectacular cliffs all around, it is very apparent why the amazing beach also attracts huge crowds in busy season. There is some epic scenery here and there are great amenities with the resort providing good food, drink, and entertainment all within a short walk.

Interestingly, this beach is at the foot of the Pecatu Graha development planned by Tommy Suharto, youngest son of the despotic former president Suharto. At the time, the proposed development created a huge controversy because it would displace many locals and would potentially limit access to one of the best beaches in all of Bali. However, though the construction commenced, the project was never fully completed and president Suharto had to resign under massive public pressure. Currently, some of the hotels and condos have been completed, but the later phases of the project have yet to be finished - and likely will not be for some time.

Regardless of the history, Dreamlands is a spectacular beach worth visiting for sightseers and surfers alike.
