Padang Padang is a pretty cool party beach with some open sands and excellent surf when the wave is working. The reef here is supposed to be super shallow, so do be aware. Additionally, there are tons of cool caves along the coastline to explore. The food on the beach is pretty suspect, so I recommend eating elsewhere. The nice thing is the parking is free and there are some restaurants within a short walk. I visited here when the wave was not working, but seeing videos of the wave when the swell is big is pretty impressive. Walking down to the beach is pretty neat too as you have to enter through this narrow slit in the rock. Also, the beach is relatively clean as the locals try to clean up from time to time to keep the tourists happy. There are plenty of otherwise nice beaches in Bali that are just strewn with litter and trash. Padang Padang is pretty decent in this respect.
