For any Whistler backcountry skier, visiting Fissile and the Russet Lake Cabin / Himmelsback Hut is a must. Its just a wonderful backcountry experience. Its a roomy cabin that 15 people and is a hop skip and a sking away from the base of the towering Mt Fissile. Fissile is probably the longest consistent 50 degree pitch sustained skiing that is accessible from the resorts. This hut is also a great place to visit in the summer.
